Watches. Why do people still use them when just about everything around you has the time on it?

I was in the camp and kept telling my wife I don't see the point. But then I was going on a trip and would be without my cell phone for a few weeks and decided I'd get a watch and since then I've had to apologize to my wife! Watches still matter because they have a wide range of types and functions.

Being green is the latest fad now and what better way than to go solar - even with your watch!

Its a great way to save some money on batteries but it also lets you make a statement that you believe in a green way of living. While classic "hour hand" watches are considered stylish, the digital watch can't be beat on convenience. With a single glance you can see the date and time and everything is always up to date.  Digital watches are beginning to even talk to your phone and allow you to add apps. So now when your BlackBerry buzzes, you can check your watch instead of pulling out your phone. But when it comes to accuracy, nothing comes close to the atomic watches. Its always interesting to see what time everyone has and to compare times and see what's the official time. As watches get older and the batter slowly dies the accuracy goes down. But not true for the atomic watches, they are so hi-tech that they are the gold standard when it comes to "what time is it?"
